STEM for Others Update at Oakwood Middle

This week there was very good progress as I got 2 students on tuesday who I was working with understanding Systems of equations studying for their upcoming algebra test, and that went pretty well. Then today a parent reached out asking for a tutor for their student who has lots of potential to become a great student in math competitions, but she is only in 6th grade so just has not been exposed to many of the topics they are discussing. I am now set to meet this same student once per week with prepared lessons to try and catch her up in learning algebra and geometry subjects when she is still in 6th grade math, so I have consistent homework help every Tuesday and independent lessons every Wednesday with the 6th grade student. This is a good step as now I have guaranteed consistency with my meetings and can prepare lessons in advance to excel the understanding of math for all of the students.
