Oakwood Weekly Review (4/16/25)

Hi Hawks! Today was the second week of our continued intro to Java program. Last class, we set up our IDE, IntelliJ. This is the coding environment students are using to code in Java. We went over basic print statements again, and made sure everyone understood basic key terms. Today, we caught up the missing 6th graders from last time while diving into a new topic, variables. We went over the 5 main types of variables, as well as how to use them. We practiced by creating mad libs using print statements and variables, which everyone did a great job on. We have been moving with a great pace and I hope to continue it in the following weeks (with the help of motivational candy). I hope to see everyone next week!
