Hi Wildcats! Today, we continued our unit on catapults. The kids got a chance to put everything they learned last week into action. They made sure to build a strong base so that the catapult doesn’t fall apart while also creating enough tension so the pompom can fly far. A common problem a few kids ran into was that there was too much tension; so while the projectile was able to fly, it didn’t go very far or just shot straight up. We fixed this by removing a few rubber bands. At the end, we had a competition to see whose catapult shot the pompom the furthest. Overall, it was a really fun and productive day!
