Braddock Weekly Review (03/21/25)

This week, the kids finished presenting all of their games. One student created a game called The Ultimate Battle (the first image). I was impressed by how he changes the costumes when a character is hit and uses a health bar to show damage. He also showed how he successfully randomized the movement of the characters. The other student created a tower defense game (the second image). It was not completed yet, but he had so many ideas about features he could add. He told me how he learned about how to create a shop where he could drag items out of it and place them wherever he wanted on the board. He was also able to use motion blocks to make the enemies snake across the screen. After the presentations, we spent the latter half of the class reviewing our past games and ensuring that we understood the concepts behind them before moving on to more advanced games in the upcoming weeks.
