Hey Eagles! Last Wednesday, we learned about the basics of civil engineering. To explore how tall buildings stood against gravity, we made some ourselves, using only paper and tape. Out of three teams competing against each other, the tallest tower stood 172cm tall without holding. It was taller than all of the students in the classroom. The teamwork was amazing: our volunteers directed the team to construct and tape papers like engineers, while the kids prepared the tape and patched the tower on the go. At the end of class, some students wanted to take the tower home instead of tearing them down and discarding it, which was environmentally mindful. I can't wait to see you again next Wednesday!
