Hi Eagles! It was our final class for the Spring program at Braddock ES, so I wrapped it up with everyone's favorite activity: flying. We first learned different physical concepts that support flight: all three Newton's law of physics, Bernoulli principle, and aerodynamics. Then, we applied our knowledge to making paper airplanes to test who could fly the farthest. Everyone looked up different instructions and adjusted parts of their airplane, such as wing size and nose weight. Finally, we congregated at the hallway and thrust our airplanes. Some kids could fly as far as 35 feet! After the airshow, instead of tossing the paper away, we recycled it in a designated bin. Overall, I am glad to have brought such amazing STEM lessons to my community. Thank you for joining along.
