Hey Cobras! Today was my second day back. Luckily, I was able to remember many students' names, including one new student, Ethan. Ethan is a 6th grader and a Vietnamese-American student who randomly had a Korean pencil, even though he didn't know where it came from. Unfortunately, there weren't many people there. To my surprise, Ethan told me that earlier that day, there had been a shooting threat, and many students had left. Aside from that initial shock, the homework center went as usual, and I helped Ethan with dividing fractions. One specific trick is to remember that when you are dividing, you are essentially multiplying by the reciprocal, so for fractions, you need to switch the numerator and the denominator before multiplying the top and bottom. Overall, it was a great day, and I hope to come back again!
