Have you ever tried to donate to a cause you really like, but you are forced to pay extra because of the donation fee? You see, most donation host sites earn money by charging a small fee whenever someone donates. This can range from 2% all the way to 20% of the donation, causing many people to donate more than they expected or discourage them to donate in the first place. Our mission is to bring educational equality, so problems like this cause our organization to suffer the consequences. However, we have a solution

Since we use Zeffy as our donation host, their fee system is a little different from other donation sites like PayPal or Fidelity. They charge a high fee, but donors can opt out of this fee if they know the right steps. However, opting out can be a confusing process for first-time donors.

Step by Step Donation Process

So, let's go through the donation process which will allow you to pay exactly as much as you planned on donating.

1. Navigate to our donation link
2. Select the amount you want to pay and your personal information
3. When you confirm your donation, select the drop-down menu listing different fee percentages
4. Select other as the fee percentage. You will see an input for the contribution
5. Input 0 as the fee contribution
6. Donate with the knowledge that you donated 100% of what you paid for!
