Oak Weekly Review (1/24/25)

Hey Cougars! STEM Together, a partnership between Oak Elementary’s PTA and the Mountain View Chapter of STEM for Others, started today! We held an afterschool social at Oak, in which students, parent chaperones, and our high school volunteers got together for the first time. Today’s session included snacks, introductions, an icebreaker activity, and STEM-themed jeopardy, getting students excited about the future concepts the program will explore. We ended with a sneak peak of our first topic: What is AI? Students were asked to research what AI is, 3 ways it affects their lives, and to imagine a use for the AI tool of their dreams. We’re excited to see what they come up with at our next session on February 7th!
