
Hey Cougars! Today, we wrapped up our “Technology Trends” theme. After a fun memory game to start us off, we dived into training our own AI model. In the last two weeks, we’ve learned that AI takes in background information, uses its “intelligence” to find patterns, and uses those patterns to understand new information. To test this out, we trained 2 AI models on teachable machine: one that identified heads vs hands, and another for boys vs girls. Though it wasn’t perfectly accurate, we could see how the models were comparing the pictures we trained them on to what we showed them on the camera. Next week, we will start preparing for STEM Expo. You will have some free time to work on your projects during the club meeting (and we’ll have another activity for those who are not doing STEM Expo).
